Amicalola Falls
Last weekend Kate and I visited these falls just north of Atlanta. I think I actually enjoy photographing visual textures more than identifiable people, places, or things. I don't even mind when stuff's a little out of focus. As least, that's what I tell myself.

I'm fond of the out of focus and blurry shots too. Ideally, I like there to be something sharp somewhere in the frame as a counterpoint to the general fuzziness, but that doesn't always happen.

You're right, that is the ideal effect. I was trying to go for that in some of the pix. It looks like I can't embed images or hyperlinks in comments, but you can go to http://www.tedfriedman.com/archives/P1000516.jpg for one attempt at that effect.
