That looks beautiful! What are you growing? I went through a similar experience with gardening books, and last year was my first try at a spacious organic plot. I did find that plants in the ground were much, much easier to care for than containers. You are welcome to share my secret of growing monster vegetables - aged donkey poop! I have plenty...

It's a pretty random mix of dianthus, verbena, and some herbs and veggies, based on the seedlings Pike was selling the day we showed up.
Don't tell me containers are harder than plants in the ground! Everything I've been reading claims they're much easier, since you don't have to worry about weeds. I know you do have to water a lot, but that doesn't sound too hard.
I am tempted to start an herb garden somewhere on the ground, for comparison's sake if nothing else. I may take you up on that fertilizer offer . . .
