About Me

I'm Assistant Professor of Communication at Georgia Sate University, where I teach in the Ph.D. program in Moving Image Studies. I'm also affiliated with the GSU Digital Arts and Entertainment Lab, the Jewish Studies Program and the Women's Studies Institute. My first book, Electric Dreams: Computers in American Culture, is just out from NYU Press. I've been published in alt.culture, Bad Subjects, Blender, Communication Research, Critical Studies in Media Communication, CyberSociety, Details, Encyclopedia of New Media, First Monday, On a Silver Platter, Product placement в средствах массовой информации, Radio On, SimCity: Mappando la Citta Virtuali, The Source, Spin, Stim,and Vibe.
